Howard H. Levinson, 83, of Trumbull, passed peacefully on 10/17/2025, after battling Alzheimer's disease for the last few years. Born to Irving and Irene Levinson in Bridgeport, CT, he graduated from Bassick High School and subsequently received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut.
Survived by his wonderful loving wife of 61 years, Rochelle (Berman) Levinson, and family, Matthew and Karen, Jonathan and Sue, Adam and Kery, his 7 amazing grandchildren, Alec, Chase, Brooke, Jordan, Samantha, Rachel and Molly, and forever daughters-in-law, Nancy and Kimberly. He was predeceased by his sister, Carole Korb, with whom he shared a special bond.
Howard will be remembered for his passion for his appliance store, Zemels TV and Appliance. He initially worked out of the Bridgeport location before moving on to the Danbury store, which he owned for almost 50 years. He cherished the opportunity to work side-by-side with his son, Jonathan, for over 30 of those years. Howard was never keen on retiring and continued to work until 79. He truly loved that drive down Route 25, always commenting about the dramatic changes he saw over all those years.
Howard was a family man in every sense and loved to be with his wife, children, and grandchildren as much as possible, despite complaining how loud they always became. He loved his wife endlessly since he was 17 and always wanted her by his side. They celebrated many milestones together, each one accompanied by a "short" speech from Shelley, along with the milestones of their sons and grandchildren, and were always surrounded by family and friends.
He adored and was deeply loved by his nieces in California, Jody and Rena, and his nephews in Vermont, Jarrett and Corey, along with his brother-in-law, Richard Berman and his wife, Mime.
Services will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 2:00 pm from The Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home, 88 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT 06824, with interment following at Loyalty Cemetery, on Burroughs Road in Fairfield. Shiva will immediately follow at Kim Levinson's home. The remaining days of Shiva will be private.
