Ina Kolaric Obituary
Ina Dunham Huston Kolaric, age 75, of Fairfield, beloved wife of Marvin J. Kolaric, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 18, 2018. Ina was born in Bridgeport on September 21, 1942, daughter of the late John Charles and Agnes Steinhilber Huston. She has been a resident of Fairfield for most of her life, where she married her husband Marvin J. Kolaric in 1979. She is also the cherished mother of Amanda Courtney Lisa Kolaric and the late Jessica Elizabeth Kolaric. Ina had a lifelong career at Andrew Warde High School where she taught English and American Studies. She was a dedicated and passionate teacher, with a legacy of being known as "Mama K" that has lived on for many years after her medical retirement in 1996. Outside of teaching, Ina had a great passion and love of animals, most especially her German Shepard, "Dooley" that was loyal by her side for many years as he could be. She also enjoyed reading, watching crime tv shows and indulging in chocolate and ice cream no matter the time of day. Ina is also survived by her sister, Gail Huston of Colorado, brother John Huston Jr., mother in law Julia Kolaric, sister and brother in law Margaret and Frank Fulop, brother and sister in law Michaels and Barbara Kolaric, a niece Julie Fulop Reiley, Andrea Fulop, nephew and niece Anthony Kolaric and Rhonda Kolaric as well as sister Gail's daughter Lisa and son Curtis and lastly, her beloved Maine Coon cat, Mooney. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 22 at 11 a.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfied Center with interment to follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield. I only recently heard of her passing. I knew her as Miss Huston, my very favorite American Studies teacher. She made the subject come alive, and was loving and approachable. I've never forgotten her. My condolences to the family.

Miss Huston Ina was my very favorite and most often thought of teacher at Andrew Warde. I saw her several years back and her warmth was ever prevalent even so many years later. She will always be remembered as a wonderful person and kind yet firm educator who taught me to strive to do my best always. My condolences to her family.

Ina was my favourite teacher at Warde. She taught me and inspired me to be one level better as a student and always a friend during my college years and beyond. My memories bring me comfort as I mourn and pray as God wraps his arms around her. To Marvin & Amanda: Ina's legacy as a teacher and friend was passed on to so many! Take comfort in that. God bless!

A great friend that helped many people at the high school. Ina was an exceptional teacher and human being. I always enjoyed working with her . She was truly a dedicated teacher and loved by the staff and students . She was a special person.
