Irene T (Klimaszewski) Grzybala, age 99, of Stratford CT died Monday March 12 at the Apple Rehab in Shelton, CT where she had been a resident for the past three years. Born in Bridgeport, CT on August 12, 1918 Irene was the wife of the late Theodore P Grzybala. Irene is survived by her two sons, Thomas Grzybala and wife Christine of Fleming Island, FL and Robert Grzybala and wife Rosemarie of Huntington, CT. Irene is also survived by two grandsons, John Grzybala of Fleming Island, FL and Michael Grzybala of Huntington, CT as well as several nieces and nephews. Irene was predeceased by her brother John Klimaszewski and sisters Stella Switter and Helen Flathers. Irene was employed for many years by Remington Arms and City Trust Bank. The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful staff at Apple Rehab and the Masonic Hospice staff.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursady March 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford, followed by interment in St. John Cemetery, Stratford. In abiding with her wishes calling hours have been omitted. The Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St. Bridgeport has been entrusted with the services.
