James Carroll Obituary
James F. Carroll Sr., age 70 of Trumbull, beloved husband of Barbara A. Palumbo Carroll, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Jim was born in Bethlehem, PA, and resided in Trumbull the past forty-five years. Jim was proud to have served in the United States Navy. After working as an Information Systems Manager for most of his life, he retired as a consultant for the industry. Other than his love for family, Jim adored the game of golf. He was a member of the Senior Men's Group at Tashua Knolls, and for nine years was chairman of the Trumbull Golf Commission. Survivors, in addition to his beloved wife Barbara include three devoted children; James Carroll Jr. and wife Virginia of Conshohocken, PA, Lori Hampford and husband Timothy of Trumbull, CT, Denise Washburn and husband Kirk of Boulder, CO, a brother Thomas Carroll and wife Marie of Phoenixville, PA, nine loving grandchildren Joshua, Daniel, and Lukas Carroll, Amelia, Clare, Maeve, and Norah Hampford, Drew and Jameson Washburn, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00a.m., meeting directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 8p.m., at the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
