James Ebron Obituary

EBRON James Ebron, age 70, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 17, 2003, in his residence. He was born on September 2, 1932, in Framville, N.C., to the late Pete and Sallie (Grimes) Ebron. He had been an area resident for 50 years. He was employed for many years and retired from Jacob Brothers, Inc., in Bridgeport. He was a member of the Small Games Club and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted and loving wife, Gladys (Hatton) Ebron; sons, Russell Barber-Ebron and Robert Ebron; daughters, Nellie Champion-Bey, Valeri Fernandes, and Shelley and Margie Ebron; sister, Eula Mae Doman; special niece, Scarlett Moye; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; great-uncle, William Ebron; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, John Bill, Lorenzo, Ernest, Charles Ray and Willis Ebron; and sisters, Sallie Ebron Hart and Clara Ebron Stephenson. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2003, at 8 p.m. at Mt. Aery Baptist Church, 73 Frank Street, Bridgeport. Friends may greet the family from 5:30 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Park Cemetery, 620 Lindley Street, Bridgeport, on Friday, July 25, 2003, at 11 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to George J. Peterson Funeral Home, 1041 Noble Avenue, Bridgeport.
