Jan Paul Majkut

MAJKUT Jan Paul Majkut, age 66 of Port Charlotte, Fla., died Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Peace River Regional Medical Center in Port Charlotte. Mr. Majkut was born April 11, 1944 in Bridgeport, the son of the late Emil and Eleanor Barnowski Majkut. He was a former resident of Milford before moving to Port Charlotte 17 years ago. He was a retired Connecticut State Trooper. He was a member of St. Joseph National Catholic Church in Stratford and attended St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. He is survived by his beloved wife, Janet M. Majkut of Port Charlotte; son, Keith A. Majkut and his wife, Karen of Dunstable, Mass.; a daughter, Jan Marie Majkut of Port Charlotte; four grandchildren, Danielle Chittem, Marco Guzman, Benjamin Majkut and Susanna Majkut; a sister-in-law, Donna Maykut; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Maykut. Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph National Catholic Church, in Stratford. Burial will be in St. Joseph National Catholic Cemetery Stratford.
