I just saw this and am sorry it wasn´t sooner. Jean was a strong individual yet giving. Her Southern roots remained strong throughout her life yet she by no means was she a stereotype. A dear friend who I am happy to have known. Her dedication to be an artist is evident in her works and and her accomplishments. I will miss her.

I'm very sorry to hear of Jean's death. My father, the artist J. Dorrance Kiser, was a friend of hers at Auburn and after, and I met her many decades ago. Her work was exceptional.
