Jennie Kiriakopoulos Obituary
Jennie Kiriakopoulos, age 102, of Fairfield, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025. Born in Ansonia, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Markou Kiriakopoulos. Jennie had been a Fairfield resident most of her life, she worked at Sikorsky for over 37 years and graduated from Central High School. She loved volunteering in events at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Bridgeport where she was a member of the church choir. Jennie participated in the church choir for over 70 years, she was given an award by the church for her dedicated commitment to the choir. One of her many loves were spending time with her family and friends traveling to the casino a church event or simply having a visit with her neighbors. Her all-time favorite activity was BINGO, if there was a game, she was in attendance. Her church family and faith were extremely important to her, she will be sadly missed.
Jennie is survived by her devoted nieces, Debra Iassogna O'Dell and her husband Michael of Oxford, Kara Bonnazio Smith and her husband Sheldon of Brookfield, Brooke Bonnazio Lowe and her husband Brandon of South Carolina, Leia Pettine Sanches and her husband Mariano and sons Ayden and August of Milford, James Leach and Carol Salem of Oxford. She was predeceased by her loving brother Louis Kiriakopoulos, sisters Melpo Santilli and Demetra Kiriakopoulos. We would like to thank Ludlowe Health Center & Benchmark of Splitrock for the services and compassion toward Jennie.
The Rite of Burial will take place on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Park Ave,. Bridgeport, officiated by Father Georgios Livaditis Presbyter followed by interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the church. The Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St., Bridgeport, has been entrusted with the funeral services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in memory of Jennie.
