I've awakened every morning since John's service with the hymn "In The Garden" stuck in my head - his aunt sang it beautifully. It reminds me that John will always be with us. I'm so thankful to have known him; John was always bringing strangers together, broadening our group of friends. Thanks to Greg and Charlene for giving life to such a wonderful man. My deepest sympathy to you, Lisa, Jane, Blaine, Christopher, GG and the rest of the family and John's many, many friends.

John coached my son Cameron this past fall through the Surfside rec. league and he seemed like such a great guy and Cameron really looked up to him. We got to know John when he was our neighbor at Tradewinds in Surfside. I always told him he was my long lost cousin because my last name is Atkinson also. He had such a friendly and distinctive smile. Blain and Christopher, we are sorry and you all are in our thoughts and prayers.
