John DelVecchio Obituary
John M. DelVecchio, age 74, beloved husband of Doris Prusasky DelVecchio of Stratford, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on March 31, 1942, he was a son of the late Mario J. and Nancy Puglisi DelVecchio. Before his retirement, John was the owner of DelVecchio & Son Remodeling for many years. Through his work he left pieces of himself through the things he built and brought much happiness to the many customers he touched. In addition to his devoted wife Doris of 47 years, survivors include three loving children, Doreen J. Haas and her husband Michael of Stratford, John M. DelVecchio and his wife Maria of Pompano Beach, FL, and Anthony M. DelVecchio of Stratford, a sister, Marie Renz and her husband Craig of Milford, a brother-in-law, Michael Prusasky and his wife Elaine of Trumbull, two sisters-in-law, Diane DeMattia and her husband Anthony of Stratford and Karen Hutchinson and her husband Donald of Monroe and four grandchildren, Charlotte and Christian Haas and Daniel and David DelVecchio as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. To leave an online condolence, visit us at www.abriola.com.
