John S. Downer, 89 of Stratford entered eternal rest Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Bridgeport Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020, 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Stratford, 1301 Stratford Ave., Stratford, CT. Interment will follow the service in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, Friends are invited to the viewing Saturday from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the church. See www.mortonsmortuary.com.
