Dear Kathleen, words cannot express our sorrow on the tragic loss of your beloved, John. We send our heartfelt sympathy to you and to Stephen, Tim, John and Terri, the wider O`Donovan and Scott families and all who mourn John. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
John was an extraordinary man in every sense. He lived a long and exemplary life made all the better with you by his side supporting him. We will all miss him greatly.
We will treasure the memories of our visit wth you in Ballinacurra last April when you both were in great form, as always.
How you regaled us with the story of how you met John and captured his heart and saying that "John is the nicest man one could ever meet" ...so true.
You were a great couple and happiness radiated from both of you.
John, I will miss you; our exchange of letters and the phone calls over the years.
You were always so interested in news from your home town. Kinsale and especially Ballinacurra held a special place in your heart and you kept in touch by making frequent trips home.
Now, after a life well lived you have taken your final journey. The Lord will surely have the greatest of welcomes for you, His good and faithful servant.
Rest in peace dear friend in your heavenly home. It was an honour and a privelege to have known you.
Margaret and Dan.

Our deepest sympathy to you Kathleen on the passing of your beloved John. What a great loss for you and indeed for all of us who had the good fortune to have known him.
He, ' John Boy', was our great inspiration in all our endeavours. We placed our trust in him just as he placed his trust in the Lord.
It was our great pleasure to have known John and his kind generous nature for so many years and a greater privilege still to have him as a family member. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
John rest in peace.

I am so sorry for your loss Kathleen. You and John were an amazing couple, full of love and laughter with all. I would look forward to John O´Donovan´s annual prayer for good weather the final general meeting of the Parade Committee for the Greater New Haven St. Patrick´s Day Parade I know he´ll be smiling down on the Parade this year with a front row seat. God Bless John O´Donovan, he was a pure delight and a symbol of what the phone company role modeled in Connecticut back in its day.

Such a wonderful man. He would come into the Donut shop and sit at the counter for a small black coffee and a muffin. He will surely be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife. Love and Prayers from Anthony Giudice and Thomas Rossler

I knew Mr. O´Donovan back in the 1970´s when he was a Lector at St.Mary´s Church in New Haven, Ct. when I worked on the Rectory´s Front Door Reception while in High School! He was always pleasant towards everyone! At my Mom´s wake in 2010, he led for the Prayer Service at Sisk Brothers and was Deacon at her Funeral! God Rest Your Soul John and My Deepest Sympathy to his Family! Tony Lombardozzi

Mr. O'Donovan spoke at my brother's memorial service a couple of years ago. He knew the exact words to comfort us. He was a true man of God. The world is a better place for his presence in it. Rest in Peace.

John O'Donovan was an amazing man as is his wife Kathleen. If John knew you were in the hospital he would be sure to visit, say a prayer and give Holy Communion. If you were homebound he would do the same. He made a trip to Hospice in Branford at 11 o'clock at night to visit my dad which turned out to be my dad's last visitor to which I will always be grateful. You would always see John on the altar whenever a loved one from the Irish community passed regardless of the parish and he had the nicest touch when saying their eulogy including my dad's. John was the complete total package of the perfect human being. May he rest in eternal peace. Martin Keniry
