Joseph Fazekas Obituary
Loving Father
Mr. Joseph J. Fazekas, 75, entered the gates of heaven August 1, 2021 at Bridgeport Hospital after battling a long illness.
Joseph was the son of the late John Fazekas and Fay (Tagliarino) Fazekas. Born and raised in Bridgeport, CT Joseph became a licensed hairdresser and went on to successfully own and operate three hair salons; Two being in Bridgeport, CT and one in Bethany, CT. In addition to owning his businesses he enjoyed teaching his trade at Leon's institute of Hair Design, as well as working as a bus and taxi driver for many years.
Joseph found joy in many things, including becoming an accomplished square dance caller, dancer and teacher. He also took pride in competitive roller skating.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, the love of his life and mother of his children Mary Jane Cennamo, two sons, Donald Fazekas and wife April of Naugatuck, CT, Brian Fazekas and wife Tanya of Largo, FL, and four grandchildren, Robert, Jacob, and Paige Fazekas of Naugatuck, CT and Bryce Fazekas of Largo, FL. He was predeceased by his parents John and Fay, his sister Kathy B. Fazekas and his son Joseph E. Fazekas
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Joseph's nurse Sonia for treating Joseph like her own father. She was a loving friend and companion.
Arrangements: A Mass will be held at St. Augustine Cathedral Church 359 Washington Ave. Bridgeport, CT on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at the church. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

We skated at the Mosque (Park City Skateland) many years and they were some of the best times.
