Joseph Kirchon Obituary
Joseph P. Kirchon age 93 of Bridgeport, beloved husband of 47 years to the late Florence Tekin Kirchon passed peacefully on Monday May 4, 2015 with his family by his side. Born in Scranton, PA., he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna Gergel Kolecany. A veteran of WWII, he served in the Marines. A retired supervisor of maintenance for the Bridgeport Board of Education where he worked for over 25 years. Survivors include his son Joseph P. Kirchon III and wife Frances of Berlin, New Jersey, his grandsons Joseph P. Kirchon IV of Arlington, VA., Angelo A. Kirchon 1st classman at V.MI in Lexington, VA., his daughter Faith Kirchon and his granddaughter Joanna Kirchon of Bridgeport, several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday May 7, 2015 at 11am in St. Andrews Church with interment taking place at a later date. Calling hours will take place on Thursday morning after 10am for the immediate family at the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St. Bridgeport. Joe was a very kind person he would do anything for anyone,i met Joe probably 40 years ago maybe longer he was a hard worker at one point of his life coming from PA he owned a gas station in Bridgeport he was a excellent mechanic,he worked at the University of Bridgeport nights so his children could go to college,Joe's Family was his life,he loved his wife Bo and children and grandchildren he worked hard to save money to buy a home.Joe rest in peace you deserve it.**ME MECHANIC**GIVE ME BIGGER HAMMER**Joe's favorite expression,he loved Duchess Hot Dogs
