Joseph Kleinhenz Obituary
Joseph C. Kleinhenz, age 87, of Fairfield, CT, beloved husband of Lenore nee Kowalski for 65 years, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2025. Born in Chicago, IL, on January 8th, 1938, the son of the late Carl and Margareta Kleinhenz from Germany, he lived in Fairfield since 1969. Joe graduated from Saint George High School in Evanston, IL, in 1956. Joe worked for Avon Products for 32 years and as a consultant in the manufacturing industry until his retirement in 2000. Joe enjoyed traveling the world with Lenore after retirement, and their many years spending winters in Florida with family and friends from Chicago. Joe also enjoyed spending time with his sons and friends at his camper at Greene Point Marina on Sandy Pond, where he enjoyed fishing, boating, and golfing.
In addition to Lenore, Joe is survived by his three sons, Mike (Lynn) of Hardeeville, SC, Mark (Annie) of Madison, CT, and Dan (Elizabeth and son Greg Poore) of Bridgeport, CT, and his four grandchildren, Jen, Joe (Kristin), Jack, and Will Kleinhenz.
A private service will be held for the immediate family.
