Joseph Miro Obituary

Joseph Carl Miro
Joseph Carl Miro. age 58, son of the late Joseph R. and Barbara Lindwall Miro passed away peacefully on November 6, 2021.
Joe had many passions in his life. He worked proudly alongside his parents at the Miro Farms farmstand, he enjoyed getting his hands dirty in the greenhouse, creating culinary delights at his restaurant, and had great interest and joy for music. Although he took notable pride in his work, there was no role he cherished more than being a father. You couldn't have a conversation with Joe without him mentioning Joseph or Julianna and how proud he was of them. His tireless love and devotion to his family were always evident to those who knew him best.
In addition to his children Joseph M. and Julianna Miro of Fairfield, he leaves behind his sisters Barbara Miro of Milford and Mary Klein (Roy) of Trumbull, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his former wife Lisa Miro.
Joe will be fondly remembered by his family for the strength that he showed during the last six months.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service officiated by Father Peter Cipriani at 7 p.m. All other services will be private including his interment in Lawncroft Cemetery.

Mr. Miro,

It was wonderful getting to know you these past four years. I will never forget the first time you cooked dinner for Joe and I. The joy I would see every time you prepared meals for us and your family always left me in awe. I loved how you always made it a pleasant presentation, even if it was just at home in the kitchen.
You were a great father to Joseph and Julianna and I know how much you loved them and they loved you. I promise to continue taking care of your son during this difficult time. You truly were such a role model to him and I know how proud you will continue to be of him. Remember when we both purchased scarves for each other on Christmas? I will always think fondly of you and smile when I wear the one you got me. Thank you for being so kind to me and always cooking for us.

Keeping all the dear Miro´s close to my heart.
Xo,
Samantha

With heart felt sympathy my condolences go out to Joe's family. Joe always had a smile and a story when I would see him at the farm stand or Leno's . I always over cooked corn till Joe straightened me out on that. Will also always remember the Rocket hotdog stand that stood on that site in the 60's. Joe had a picture of it in the back room of the farm stand. His dad also sold vegetables off a truck from the farm to my dad who had a market in Black Rock when I was a kid. Joe was a great guy, I will always have fond memories of Joe and the Miro's. To Barb and Joe's children I am so sorry for your loss

Getting to know you these past 5 years has been such an honor. I had so much respect for you (and always will) and I´m glad I got to earn your respect. We all are going to miss you Mr. Miro, but I know one thing and that is that Julianna and Joe will continue to make you proud.

Daddy,
Tomorrow is your wake but this still doesn´t feel real to me. Although you are not physically here, I can feel your presence. I love you so much dad, I don´t think a day will go by without wishing I could call or see you. I will always be your princess. I´ll see you on the other side one day.

Mary and Barbara, I am so sorry for your loss. One of my funniest memories of Joey was at Holy Family there was a turkey raffle. Joey purchased $20 on chances, more than anyone else! He was certain that turkey was his . Tim Quinn bought one raffle ticket....and won the dang turkey!!!! Joey was a little pissed lol but all in all was a good sport. Tim and he were best buds so it was all good!

My prayers are with you all.

Joe, I'm glad we had these past few months to talk and reminisce. It's clear we were fortunate to grow up in a wonderful family and have great memories. I'll do what you said "remember only the good times" and there were many. We discovered that we're well loved by family and friends. You're my baby brother and it hurts to lose you but the time was right. No more pain or strife, just rest. We will be alright, you know that. What great company you're in! You're with mom and dad and so many others that are a part of life that will never come again. They were the best of times! So long Joey, I'll miss you. Love, your sister, Barbara
