Joyce (Miles) Cotto, 89, of Palm Coast, FL, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport, CT. Joyce grew up near St. Mary's by the Sea, where she found peace by the water.
She was the daughter of the late Herbert C. Miles and Blanche Karvosky Miles and was predeceased by her husband, Candido R. Cotto, and son Timothy Svab.
She is survived by her children, Wendy Cotto Richards (Kevin) of CT; Tracey Cotto Santiago (Edgar) of FL; Cristina Cotto of PA; Caren Cotto Quinones (Juan) of FL; Susanne Cotto (Charlie) of CT; Craig Svab, Cindy Svab, and Scott Svab (Patty) of OH.
Her brother Frederick Miles (Margo) and niece Sarah Miles of SC.
She was the proud grandmother of Benjamin Quinones (Kristin), Miles Richards, Colin Richards, Liam Anderson, Kathryn Anderson, Emily Santiago, Ellie Santiago, Steven Svab, Cody Svab; and great-granddaughters Jane, Evie, and Ella Quinones.
Joyce worked for many years as Assistant Town Clerk in Westport, CT, retiring to Florida where she enjoyed traveling, the beach, reading, gardening, and shopping.
Joyce reunited with her beloved husband - "happy together."
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
