My absolute sincere sympathy. I had the honor of working with Kathleen on many AHA initiatives. She was a brilliant nurse scientist and educator. Her spirit and enthusiasm for science will be greatly missed.

I did not know Kathleen, but I know her parents, William and Theresa. I lived in College Point for 5 years on the same block. Although I have moved away I still keep in contact with the Burns. Rest In Peace dear Kathleen. I send my prayers and condolences.

My heart goes out to all of you- Kathleen was a wonderful, caring person- while we only saw each other at ISONG events, we shared love of nursing & genetics. More than that, we talked of our families & love for them. Wishing you sweet & joyful memories.

Prayers to Kathleen’s family. I knew her well as I worked as the Executive Director of the Int’l Society of Nurses in Genetics. What a wonderful woman and we frequently talked about her girls since I had kids the same ages. My heart is aching and I send you all of my prayers.

God Speed to a kind and gentle Angel. Kathleen’s brilliance shines on in the legacy of wellness that she pioneered for the benefit of multitudes. How privileged I am to be her Godfather. We are comforted to know that she rests in peace among the many gentle souls of our ancestors. We take our leave with the same prayer we offered for them. Ar deis Dei go raimbh a anam dilis.
