Kenneth Michaels Obituary

MICHAELS Kenneth D. Michaels, age 58 of Shelton, entered into rest Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at the Bishop Wicke Health Care Center, Shelton. Ken was the devoted husband of 21 years to Nancy Stone Michaels. Ken was born in Bridgeport, March 15, 1949, son of the late Edgar and Elizabeth Michaels and was a Shelton resident for 10 years living most of his life in Bridgeport. He was employed for more than 30 years at R& R Manufacturing in Seymour until his retirement in 2006. He was a Vietnam veteran for the U.S. Army. He loved to ride his Harley, and was an avid Giant, and Red Socks Fan. He was the beloved father of Kenneth Michaels and his wife, Tammy; loving stepfather of Michael Cannizzio and his wife, Terri. He also a leaves two step grandchildren, Michael and Brian Cannizzio; a special aunt, Frances Perkowski; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may greet the family on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. On Saturday a funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Msgr. William F. Schultz of Our Lady of Grace Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton. At the request of the family memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Avenue, 5th Floor Norwalk, CT 06851.
