Kenneth Wynn Obituary

Kenneth Wynn
Kenneth "Kenny" Wynn, 87, of Stratford, CT passed away peacefully at his home on May 29, 2021. Born in Scranton, PA on June 11, 1933, he was the son of the late Martin and Margaret Wynn.
Ken graduated from Scranton Tech in Scranton, PA. He and his wife Janice moved to Bridgeport, CT in 1957 and then to Stratford, CT where he continued to reside until his passing. He worked at many companies including FAG Bearings, Raybestos, AFCO and eventually retired as a Foreman at Sikorsky Aircraft. Ken and Jan also established the Stratford Antique Center in 1992.
Ken was an avid Red Sox and UCONN basketball fan, loved spending time with family and friends at his house in Cape Cod, and the many trips he took to Ireland. Ken loved his family and friends in a way that made anyone who met him feel very special. He also had a special fondness for animals which carries on to this day with his cat Cecil. His hobbies included spending many hours in his garden and sharing all the vegetables he grew with everyone. Ken also enjoyed refinishing furniture which eventually led to creating the Stratford Antique Center. He was also a proud member of the Gaelic-American Club in Fairfield.
Ken is survived by his daughters Erin Wynn and her husband Stephen, Colleen Wynn-Kroeber and her husband Jim, grandchildren Todd Springer and his wife Allison, Bailey Springer, step-grandchildren Jeffrey and Jessica Kroeber, and several nieces and nephews. Paul and I were one of the first dealers at the Stratford Antique Center when it first opened. Ken was always so friendly, warm and helpful. Rest in peace, and our deepest sympathies to the family.
