Kevin John Cassidy, 84, of Bridgeport, CT, passed away peacefully, at his home, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
Visitation will take place Friday, November 7, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lesko Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield, CT. Services will continue Saturday, November 8th, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Fairfield.

To know Kevin Cassidy was to love and admire him. Nels and I were warmly welcomed by Kevin and Edie when home hunting for our move to CT. There always was kindness in his eyes and words. He made us all better and the least we can do is live with integrity, and on the right side of history, in his honor. Love and peace to the beautiful Cassidy family. xo

Pop pop was the best grandpa I could´ve asked for. He was so loving and kind. I´m going to miss going over to watch the Mets with him, hearing him read a poem before dinner, his comforting smile, and a million other things.

Kevin was not only a wonderful colleague of mine at Fairfield University, but a Godfather to my daughter Alison. While death is always difficult and complicated, dying at home after a lengthy illness surrounded by such vibrant love brings me peace, and given his goodness, assures me that he´s given new meaning to the title of Godfather!
