Laura Lenhard Obituary
Laura Ann (Hooker) Lenhard, age 59, of Shelton, CT passed away peacefully on October 7, 2023 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Laura was born in Bridgeport, CT to Donald and Alice Louise Taylor-Hooker. Laura was a graduate of Stratford High School. She followed her passion after multiple corporate careers and opened her own business, Talisman & Cauldron, in 2007. She continues to inspire her family to live freely and without regrets. Laura was a strong force, with the most gentle and caring soul. She was the family matriarch and heart of the home. She would never pass up an opportunity to read, garden, love all her animals dearly, and enjoy conversation with anyone she encountered. As a devoted mother, watching her children grow into the young adults they are was the best and most rewarding part of her life. Laura always said she would want her loved ones to celebrate her life, not mourn her passing.
She is survived by her husband Roy Lenhard II; four children, Derek Dufour, Devin Dufour and her husband Alex Nankervis, Daisy Dufour and Roy Lenhard III; her siblings D.J. Hooker and his wife Heather, Michael DeBiase, Donna Collins and her husband Mark, Lisa Ridgeway and her husband Rob, Michael Thomas Hooker-Warner Sr. and his wife Kimberly Richards-Warner; and nephews Branndon Warner and Christopher Warner. She was predeceased by her nephew Michael Thomas Warner Jr.
A graveside service will be held at Trumbull Burial Grounds at a later date.

I'm so glad I was able to share a few small moments on earth with Laura and her wisdom. She was a guiding voice I relied on for many years, and brought me in touch with a few wonderful people as well. Being in the shop always brought me peace, and I am happy I still have a few mementos (even after many years and many moves) I can say hello to her through.

Laura was a very special friend to me. I would visit her on Fridays at the shop in the morning when it was quiet and we would chat for hours and sometimes I would bring her daisies to compensate for the free readings she would give me. We had good chemistry and we would talk about politics and what´s going on in the world for hours we would laugh we would get angry we would have debates, and it was so much fun. Laura was there for me when I needed help and she gave me some tools and strategies that were very effective. She talked about her family all the time. She loved her family. Laura was a very intelligent person. I´m still in shock and I´m still grieving I don´t really know what to say but we really did gain an angel.

I will never forget Laura. She was an amazing friend and true mentor. We had many talks on our early friendship. As our friendship grew she would chat with me and guide me in my spiritual journey. She had a heart of gold and a spirit that could be unmatched. My family will miss you dearly Laura. May you and your family stay blessed.

Words can not express how much I will miss you. We have been friends for at least 2 decades. We both shared each other's family stories and have gotten personal. You understood mine as I did yours.
