Lidio Peter Raffaeli, age 88 of Stratford passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the widower of Catherine Bike Raffaeli. Born in Bridgeport on March 3, 1936 he was a son of Nazareno and Anna Cecomarini Raffaeli. Lidio served his country with the US Army and received his bachelor degree from the University of Bridgeport. He was an engineer for Remington Razors for many years and retired from Bassick Casters. He enjoyed being with family and friends, especially Sunday dinners at the mother's house. Lidio is survived by his 3 children, Linda (Terry) Scoggins of Forest Hill, MD, David (Megan) Raffaeli of Stratford, Loraine Stook of Stratford and his brother, Reno (Ann) Raffaeli. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Andrew, Kenneth, Victoria, Emily, Abigal, Olivia, Catherine, Matthew and his great-granddaughter, Elizabeth and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved wife Catherine and his parents he was predeceased by his sister and brother in-law, Peter and Diena Schwickert. A Mass of Christian of Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, with Fr. Reggie Norman officiating. Friends may greet the family Monday morning from 10:00 am to 11:00 a.m. at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford.
