While raising her children, she was also the mother to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. After raising her children, she worked for Textron. In 1993, she retired to once again, be on call for those who needed childcare. For more than 70 years, Lucille was a faithful disciple of the First Baptist Church of Stratford. Bish, Imogene McRae and George Bish, Jr. of Bridgeport, and Deborah (Ernie) Lyons of New Haven; two devoted sisters: Modicue White Stanton of Norwalk, and Barbara White Clemons of Bridgeport; a sister-in-law, Grace Dow White; an aunt, Elsie Heard of Boston, Mass.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews, a great-great-great nephew; cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
