Sister Melita was such a pleasant and kind person. We also stayed in touch via the phone and mail. It was a joy to be in her presence. She was my wife's cousin(Catherine Hart-Holland) We will all miss her. God Bless You, Sister Melita.

Sister Melita was my 2nd cousin and I have such fond memories of her when I was a child. She and other Sisters would visit my Grandparent's summer home. It was so much fun for them to be by the seashore for a day of good eats and family. Sister will be missed for her great smile and wonderful sense of humor. Lovingly, Elizabeth Gatturna

It is with fond memories that I remember growing up with Sister Melita. She was truly a "gem".

We were close cousins as well as great friends. I kept in touch by phone and mail through the years.

I will miss you. God Bless.

Sister Melita will be remembered by everyone whose life she touched. I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to know and love her. She was my mother's (Catherine Holland) cousin and growing up we were always in amazement of all Sister accomplished. Through the years, I was able to correspeind with Sister through letters and phone calls. Sister Melita was always so kind and thoughtfull to everyone. I especially enjoyed her wit. Awhile back I had the pleasure of visiting Sister Melita in Wilton @ her home and it is with fond memories I remember walking the grounds and about the convent and infirmary with her. We are truly blessed to have had her in our lives and she will be missed.

I atteneded Immaculate Conception School in the 1960's. Sr. Melita was our principal and I just want to say that she was truly a wonderful and sympathetic person. Always making sure that the teachers were treating their students with respect. It wasn't like today where teachers and princpals are held responsible. We had over 57 childen in our class and 3 classes in each grade. How she did it was amazing and she knew each or her "kids". I will always remember her as one of my fond memories while attending IC. Please accept my condolences for your loss both Sisters and family. She truly was a gem.
