M. Wolyniec Obituary

SR. M. ANNUNCIATA WOLYNIEC, CSFN, age 85, of Monroe, died Thursday, August 3, 2006 at the Marian Heights Provincialate where she resided. Sister was born in Maspeth, N.Y. on November 13, 1920 and was the daughter of the late Boleslaus and Justine Zdanowicz Wolyniec. Sister entered religious life on June 6, 1938. She started her Apostolate Ministry in teaching at St. John Cantius from 1941 to 1946 and St. Stanislaus from 1946 to 1953, both located in Philadelphia, Pa. She then went to New York and taught at Little Flower in Wading River from 1953 to 1964, St. Cyril and Methodius from 1964 to 1969 and again in 1975 to 1988, as well as, St. John Cantius from 1969 to 1975, both of Brooklyn. Sister's last school was at Holy Cross of Maspeth, N.Y. from 1988 to 1997. Sister retired after a long and illustrious career to the Marian Heights Provincialate in Monroe in 1997. She is survived by her sister, Irene Kichinski; her sister-in-law, Pauline Wolyniec, both of Maspeth, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Stanley Wolyniec. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 7, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Provincialate, located at 1428 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Burial will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery on the grounds of the Chapel. Family and friends may call on Sunday, from 3 to 5:40 p.m. in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Provincialate's main building. The Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Route 111, Monroe, has been entrusted with arrangements.
