Marcia Ann Ferrucci, age 70, of Southbury, CT, formerly of Easton, CT, passed away on September 29, 2025 - the day prior to her 71st birthday. Marcia was the beloved daughter of Dr. Richard J. Ferrucci and Dolores E. Ferrucci of Fairfield.
Marcia "Marcie" was the eldest of seven children. She was predeceased by her father, Dr. Richard J. Ferrucci, and her brother Kurt J. Ferrucci. She is survived by her devoted mother, Dolores E. Ferrucci, her brothers, Richard M. Ferrucci and Lance G. Ferrucci of Bridgeport, CT, her sisters Kay M. Bassett of Eureka, CA, and Jean E. Walters of Bolivia, NC, and her brother Brett T. Ferrucci of Newport, NC. She also leaves behind five nieces, three nephews, and their expanding families - all of whom shared love, pride, and joy in each other.
Marcia was a woman of remarkable intellect and curiosity. Having qualified for Mensa, she possessed a keen mind and could engage in thoughtful conversation on nearly any topic. Her gift for retaining knowledge and trivia made her both fascinating and fun to be around.
An avid reader and a talented artist, Marcia had a lifelong passion for the arts, and she was especially skilled in watercolor painting. Professionally, she worked for many years as a mainframe computer programmer, contributing her technical expertise primarily to the insurance and banking industries.
Marcia loved the change of seasons and found peace in the beauty of nature. She never forgot a birthday and delighted in singing "Happy Birthday" to family and friends. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. Marcia will be remembered for her intelligence, creativity, quiet strength, and deep love for her family.
