Margaret V. Salvaggio
Margaret Veronica (Krochko) Salvaggio , Age 87, died peacefully on Monday July 19th surrounded by her loving family. Born January 12, 1934 to the late George Krochko and Mary (Blizman) Krochko of Bridgeport, she will be remembered as a loving mother and doting Grandma. She is survived by her children, Stanley Topar (June) of Fairfield, Michele Topar Toth of Fairfield, Darren Topar (Catherine) of Fairfield, and Toni Ann (Salvaggio) Rotondo (Christopher) of Redding. Grandma Marge will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Bradley (Gabriele) Topar and great grandson, Oliver of Westport; Christopher, Margaret (Molly), and Cooper Rotondo of Redding, Michael Toth of Fairfield and Sarah Topar of Fairfield. Margaret is also survived by her two brothers, Joseph (Kathleen) of Devon and Andrew (Kathleen) of Milford, as well as two sisters, Veronica (Liz) Krochko of Bridgeport and MaryAnn (Krochko) Gallick of Stratford and several nieces and nephews.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Anthony (Beaver) Salvaggio; four children, Bradley, Gary, and Linda Topar and Tina Salvaggio; brother, Robert Krochko (Kathleen) of Florida, and two sisters, Rita Spooner of Brookfield and Barbara Smarzik of Bridgeport.
Family and friends may call on Friday July 30th from 4-8pm at Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00am on Saturday July 31st at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will be private. I just moved back home to CT and was looking to get in touch with Aunt Marge. I was crushed to find out that she passed. I saw the best movies with Aunt Marge, and have so many vivid memories of great weekend times we spent going around town with my mom. Much love to her family. -Kathleen

My godmother Marge was the best she taught me how to be a great godmother myself. I grew up with Darren, Michele and even went to the same dancing teacher as Toni Ann. My sister grew up with stan the were closer in age buti grew up to admire stan as brother to all his siblings. Darren is Atlanta Brave fan and I am a die hard Yankee fan but come to find out years later Darren liked Nascar as I did. Toni Ann had extra tickets to a U2 concert and me and Michele went I didn't know not one song now i am a lifelong U2 fan Thanks Toni Ann. Me and Michele are still lifelong friends today and fs my godmothher or life. Marge brought such joy and happiness to my life i could never list. BUT most important godnother taught me to be a graet godmother myself.

My Condolences to the entire family.
Marge was a wise friend and neighbor. We spent a little time together at Tartaglia's and her favorite drink was one Limoncello. I can say as a neighbor that she had a great family. I would watch and see someone coming to her home just about seven days a week. She spoke about you all and really appreciated all of you so much! You have all been a wonderful family to a great lady!
