Marsha Hanna Obituary
Marsha Ann (Topar) Hanna, 74, of Southport, beloved wife of Michael Hanna for 50 years, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 14, 2021, at Bridgeport Hospital. Born on Mother's Day, May 11, 1947, in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Grace Topar. Marsha was an area resident all of her life.
Marsha was a retired secretary for the Bridgeport Board of Education. She was a gifted and creative woman with the ability to craft beautiful things with her hands, especially her baked goods. Her greatest gift, however, was her love of family, especially her beloved grandchildren whom she showered with whatever their hearts desired. She derived endless joy watching them develop and was so proud of all of them. She was also an avid Yankee fan and loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children: Jeffrey (Jenny) Hanna of Richmond, Virginia; Christine (Bo) Hanna Chen of Fairfield; and Jason (Melissa) Hanna of Southport. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Henry, Lucia, George (PJ), Thomas, Charlie, and Alexander. In addition, she is survived by her sister and best friend, Beverly Rotolo, and brother, Robert Topar, both of Fairfield, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Debra Rosenfeld. She will be sorely missed.
