Mary Werner Obituary
Mary Ann Werner entered into eternal rest on Friday July 6, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a brief illness with her husband Gary by her side. Born on January 6, 1950 in Bridgeport, Mary Ann was predeceased by her father Arthur Warner and sister Patricia Longo. She is survived by her mother Eileen Warner. Mary Ann leaves to cherish her memory three children; David Werner of Bridgeport, Stephen Werner and his wife Ruth of Milford, Deborah Werner and her fiancé Jason of Derby, several nieces and nephews.
She moved to Milford at a very young age and loved it, the friends she made here made it so that she never left. She loved all the holidays, decorating, baking, and entertaining. After retirement she took to knitting and scrap-booking to leave many memories for her family to enjoy. Mary Ann's love for others and willingness to help and provide for all will never be forgotten.
Friends are invited to go Directly to St. Gabriel Church, 26 Broadway, Milford on Saturday July 14, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated followed by interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Calling hours will take place on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St. Bridgeport. Mary Ann was on of my childhood friends in the new development in Milford. Many of us spent a lot of summer nights in the Warner's backyard just listening to the 60's music and talking. She was a special girl. I hope the Lord is cradling her in his arms.
