Michael F. Mallinson

MALLINSON Mr. Michael F. Mallinson, 62, of Ansonia, beloved husband of Sandra Thompson Mallinson, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at CT Hospice in Branford. Son of the late Eric and Margaret Smith Mallinson, he was born on June 9, 1948 in Bridgeport. Mike served with pride and honor in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was an insurance adjuster for GEICO. He was an active member of the Royal Order of the Moose in Stratford and the Avanti Car Club, Sherwood Chapter in Huntington. Mike enjoyed cooking and fishing, was passionate about politics and loved restoring classic cars. He was an avid NASCAR fan. In addition to his loving wife of 39 years, he is survived by his daughter, Melissa Rose Mallinson of Ansonia; son Michael E. Mallinson and his fianc�e Kristen Gelormino of Rocky Hill; a sister Susan Turbert of West Haven; and two brothers, Richard Mallinson and his partner Dayle Leland of Milford and Kevin Mallinson and his partner Robert of Washington, DC; and many nieces and nephews. A prayer service will be held on Saturday, November 27th at 12:30 p.m. at the Cody White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street on the Green, Milford. Friends and family may call on Friday, November 26th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Cody White Funeral Home. Committal will be private.
