Michael Pucci Obituary

PUCCI Michael R. Pucci, age 88 of Stratford, the beloved husband of Betty Hall Pucci, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, May 20, 2010 with his devoted family by his side. Michael was born in Italy on October 27, 1921 and was the son of the late Anthony and Frances Volpe Pucci. He was employed for 45 years at the Bridgeport Brass Company as a crane operator and eight years for the Town of Stratford in their public works department until his retirement. Mike was a member of the Stratford Baldwin Center where he enjoyed woodworking, a former usher for many years at the Holy Name of Jesus Church and an active member of the Holy Name of Jesus Men's Society. The family would like to thank the Vitas Hospice Care personnel for all of their care and support. In addition to his loving wife Betty, of 56 years, he is also survived by his devoted daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ellen and Steven Kother of Stratford; two sisters, Mary L. Pucci and Lucy A. LaBella, both of Stratford; several nieces, nephews; and numerous friends. He was also prede-ceased by his brother, Philip A. Pucci. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 24, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford and at 10 a.m. in the Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Avenue, Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home on Sunday May 23, 2010 from 3 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Holy Name of Jesus Church Building Fund in his memory.
