Mitchell J. Arron, age 99, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Mitchell was born January 14, 1927, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, beloved son to Max and Anna Arron. He later settled in Trumbull, Connecticut, where he made his home and raised his family. He and his wife then retired to Bridgeport.
Mitchell is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Vivian Arron. Vivian cared for him and tended to his every need throughout their life together. Mitchell is also survived by his children, Dave (Michaela), Jeffrey (Laurie), and Hillary (Steve), all of whom loved and cherished him deeply. He was a proud grandfather to twelve grandchildren: Melissa, Zack, Matt, Jake, Caylee, Drew, Julia, Lily, Emily, Ellie, Eveleen, and William, who will always remember his warm smile, positive spirit, and loving heart.
At age 22, Mitchell was drafted into the Army and served honorably during the Korean War. Following his service, he became owner of Fairfield Uniform Company in Bridgeport, where he worked for many years, eventually retiring at age 93.
Mitchell will be missed and loved forever by his family and friends.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be handled by Abraham Greene & Sons.
