Morgan Graham Obituary

Morgan Wilson Graham
Morgan Wilson Graham, 46, of Fairfield, CT gracefully exited stage left on April 7, 2022 after a hard-fought battle with leukemia. Beloved wife of Sherri Graham; adored mother of Calvin and Spencer. Morgan was born in Oklahoma City, OK, on July 29,1975 to Raphael and Barbara Wilson. A born performer, Morgan's mother encouraged her to act, sing and play instruments like the cello and harp. While baton twirling and roller skating were also part of Morgan's many talents, she kept those a close secret. Morgan shared her acting gifts with OK Kandid Kids and OK Shakespeare in the Park as well as Curtain Call in CT.
Morgan, a proud member of the Choctaw Nation tribe, grew up in Bethany, OK and graduated from Putnam City High School in 1993. Upon graduating, she headed to New York City to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts where she honed her craft.
In 1997, Morgan took one look at Sherri and knew she'd met the love of her life. Their love for each other, of the life they built and the sons they shared is a testament of true balance, respect, and adoration.
Some of Morgan's pursuits included nannying, real estate, politics…which led her to Wellesley College, a place that forever influenced and inspired our beautiful Morgan. She graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor's of Arts degree.
Morgan went to work for Big Brothers Big Sisters while pursuing her graduate degree in school psychology. She worked in Bridgeport, CT at Claytor Magnet, Thomas Hooker and Madison schools as a school psychologist, however, that doesn't aptly describe her dedication to her school children.
Morgan had a way of bringing people together and had so many eclectic groups of people who loved her. She elevated a typical backyard party to an art of elegance, loved movie nights under the stars, and Adirondack chairs around the fire pit. She collected friends as some collect shells on the beach and loved them all as family. People were drawn to her kindness, her honesty, her love and her gracefulness (except for the time she dropped Spencer's birthday cake).
Morgan was predeceased by her grandmother, Anna Oliver and her mother-in-law, Cookie Horst. In addition to her wife and two beautiful boys, she is survived by her mother and father; sister, Jessica Wilson; brother, Dayton Wilson; brothers-in-law, Dale (Rebecca), Doug (April), Gary (Sue); and many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends and colleagues. There will be a memorial service at Kweskin Theater at 1349 Newfield Avenue in Stamford, CT on April 24, 2022 at 2 PM. A reception will follow. Please consider wearing something colorful with a splash of purple, in honor of Morgan's favorite color. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society in honor of Morgan.

Years ago I was involved with the Myriad Gardens in Oklahoma City- and I was putting together the float for the Christmas parade- Morgan was in high school at that time and she gathered up all her friends and worked up a dance routine that they did around the float as it went through Oklahoma City- It was as good of routine as I´ve ever seen. I was honored to attend their wedding at will Rogers Park in Oklahoma City - so terribly sorry she was a sweet and very talented person

Morgan and I didn´t see or talk much to each other but, when we did see each other, it was always met with a warm and friendly hello. She had that way about her! Just a sweet disposition and that gorgeous gray hair!!!

I didn´t have the opportunity to spend as much time getting to know Morgan as I would have liked. We discussed a play date for our kids right as the pandemic hit. At birthday parties and school events I enjoyed our chats about SPED, theatre and her fierce mama energy. You could feel how big her presence was at first meeting. We are heartbroken for Sherri and for her gorgeous boys. Sending you all the love and light at this impossible time.
