I called Grandma and said, "Would you like to meet your grandson?" She started crying and called to Papa, "Hon!! It's a boy!!" Nicholas John, The People's Victory. You hit the ground running, my son. From the top of your Yankee fitted cap to the bottom of your white, untied kicks - a true original with a style all your own. Right from the moment you arrived, you were busy living your life. You touched so many people even seven years later we still run into people who knew you, loved and admired you or those who wished they'd gotten to know you. Except we were the lucky ones who got to share in your amazing life. Every day you make us proud. We love you, Nick. Happy Birthday, love us.
