Nicholas Maida Obituary
Nicholas C. Maida, age 59 of Milford, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2013 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of Mary Cipos of Trumbull and the late Samuel Maida, Sr. Nicholas was Owner and Managing Principal of Legacy Squared, LLC. In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his soul mate, Candace Arthur; a son, Louis Maida; two daughters, Danielle and Lee Maida; a granddaughter, Brynne Maida; and several brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a public celebration of his life on Friday, May 17, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Orange Hills Country Club, 389 Racebrook Road, Orange, CT. A private service for family will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Avenue, Stratford, CT on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Bridges, A Community Support System, 949 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford, CT 06460 or www.bridgesmilford.org. I only knew Nick for a very short time, the time I did spend with him I could tell he was full of life and enjoyed it to the fullest. He will be missed, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Nick,
Last night's gathering at the OHCC was a spectacular tribute to you; the man, the friend, the father, the worker, and yes, the golfer. Kudos to your family for having the courage to do something so outside the box to recognize your life and your passing, but oh so appropriate for Nicholas C. Maida! I want to thank for giving me a shot back in the day when I was too immature to know how to believe in myself. You saw something there, and during that summer of 1990 gave me my start. So again, thank you. Your race is over now. You win. The only reason any of us have to be sad is because we'll miss you. But in the bigger scheme of things, you checked out of this life in a way I think you wanted, and are now in the presence of God with no more worries. We're all going to be there one day ourselves amigo, so we'll catch you on the other side my friend. God bless all who love you.

To the Maida Family... I went to Central High with Nick. He was one of the smartest, funniest guys in school. There is a picture of him in the yearbook with one of our administrators. He always new how to charm them. We missed him at our 40th reunion a few years back. I am sorry for your loss... Joanie Thomas

Candi and Family ! I am so blessed for having such a brilliant friendship with Nick.
