Nicholas Padilla Obituary

Nicholas "Nico" Padilla
Nicholas (Nico) Padilla, age 46, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Diana Klaric Padilla, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 30, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Bridgeport on December 8, 1978, he was the son of Rafael and Margarita Rivera Padilla.
Affectionately known to all as Nico, he was a graduate of Ansonia High School, Class of 1996 and went on to attend Southern Connecticut State University. He was owner and operator of Investigative Consultants LLC., where he took great pride in providing positive leadership to his employees and quality service and safety to all his clients.
He was a spiritual man with a heart of gold. He had a love for sports, but he especially enjoyed baseball and was a big fan of the New York Mets. Nico also had a gift for lending an ear and providing well-thought-out support for those that needed his input.
Above all things in life, his greatest roles were that of husband and father. He was a hardworking man and provided nothing but the best for his family. Nico valued time spent with his family and they would create memories that will last a lifetime. His most treasured time was spent with his wife and daughters. Nico will be remembered not only for his accomplishments, but for his gentle kindness, unwavering integrity, and generous heart. The unconditional love he gave will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his beloved wife, Diana, and his parents, Rafael and Margarita, survivors include his adored daughters, Victoria Alejandra, Mila Rose and Natalia Lee, his loving sister, Taina Moretti and her husband Joe, two cherished nephews, Joey and Luca Moretti, his father and mother-in-law, Anthony and Lidija Klaric, a sister-in-law, Gorana Klaric and her partner Jason Miska, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 10:00 am in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4 – 7 pm in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an education fund to benefit Nico's children. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.abriola.com .

Nicholas, muchachitA! We shared many interests, had the deepest conversations and had the best times together. Here are some of my favorites. Timed cheeseburger eating competitions, wrapping your desk and every item on your desk in aluminum foil, and just messing around. You made every day so much fun and it has been the biggest blessing to have had the privilege to annoy you every day. I´m going to clap a little bit louder now just for you.
It´s funny... I bought Nico a hydrogen water bottle because it was something we had talked about for so long. I gave it to him and said well, you probably won´t use it so it´s whatever! He said "don´t say that! Of course I will!" This was the week he got sick. He got the last ha ha because... he never got to use it.
Thank you for being the best friend, for teaching me, pushing me and always being in my corner. It is a huge loss. But I am so grateful to have had you in my life.
