Nilan Colleen Obituary
Colleen Nilan, age 25 of Trumbull passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016. Born in Bridgeport she was the beloved daughter of Margaret Everlith Nilan and the late Michael R. Nilan. Colleen was a lifelong Trumbull resident, a graduate of Trumbull High School Class of 2009, and played on the Trumbull High Girls Soccer Team. She attended Paul Smith College for two years where she played soccer and recently came home to finish her degree at Southern Connecticut State University in the Travel and Leisure Program. Colleen was a manager, hostess and bartender at the Bear & Grill in Fairfield. She was an avid New England Patriots fan and loved to fish. In addition to her mother Margaret she is survived by her loving sisters, Shannon Nilan of Brooklyn, NY, Meghan Doyle and her husband Michael of Beacon, NY, Kelly Curry and her husband Michael of Trumbull, loving brother, Michael P. Nilan of Saranac, NY, niece, Logan, nephew, Declan, grandparents, Robert and Joan Nilan, her aunts and uncles, John and Michele Nilan, Gregory and Diana Nilan, Susan and Robert Sliwinski, and many cousins. In addition to her father she was predeceased by her grandparents, George and Viola Everlith, her uncles, Terrence Nilan and George Everlith Jr. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 AM at meeting directly in Saint Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton Road, Trumbull with the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. Friends may call Wednesday 4 to 8 PM in the Redgate Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
