Patsy Bennett Obituary
"Saint Peter, please open those pearly gates wide, Pat is coming through with his big red truck."
Patsy L. Bennett, age 82, lifelong resident of Fairfield passed peacefully Saturday, November 27, 2021 with his loving family at his side. He was born January 28, 1939, the son of the late Mary and Patsy Bennett.
Pat was the owner and operator of Bennett Service Station and Red Coach Trucking Co. He was a member of the Bridgeport Racing Pigeon Club and later spent most of his time gardening. Until his illness he could be seen every Sunday at Holy Family Church, same pew, same seat. Special thanks to his wonderful caregivers. He will be forever missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Judith, and was the proud father of Patsy J. Bennett and Thomas E. Bennett of Bridgeport, his grandchildren; Whitney, Thomas, Nico and Matthew, his nieces; Karen, Merrilynn, and Erika, his nephew, Timothy and sister-in-law, June. In addition to his loving parents, Pat was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Pamela and his cherished sister, Linda.
Friends are invited to attend funeral on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. DIRECTLY in Holy Family Church, 700 old Stratfield Rd., Fairfield with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may attend a walk-through visitation on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home 559 Washington Ave. Bridgeport. Patsey and I grew up together up on the hill Patsey talked to his dad and Bob Daley and they put me to work great years and lots of memories.I left and became a police off.in Bpt but stayed in touch with the crew and helped them out a few times.I'm so sorry for your loss God be with him.

Pat was a "one of a kind" type of man.He at times would seem hard and tough but was really kind, empathetic, helpful and caring. To those who were lucky enough to get to really know Pat and be accepted into his circle, his unwavering loyalty was priceless! I especially enjoyed entertaining Pat and Judy several times at my home in Madeira Beach, FL, where they made several visits during their almost yearly road trips to FL staying often 2 weeks at a time. They loved their early morning walks on the beach and browsing the shops along the beach. He will be truly missed.
