Perry always captured my attention. We "grew up" together. Looks like he gained worldwide fame! I'm not surprised. He always had the knack to be noticed. I remember a skit we did in school for some variety show where he got his chocolate in my peanut butter! Can't think about him without a grin.

My memories of Perry are from Helen Keller Middle School days. He was always kind and full of life. I thought he would be a comedian or an entertainer. It has been many years since I had last seen him. I am sending my heartfelt sympathy to his wife, family and friends. Take care

What a deep loss to us all: not just to those who knew him personally, but to the thousands who admired him and were inspired by his clarity, wit, and humor.
This was a man who was cherished the world over. We are all of us poorer today to live in a world without Perry's brilliance.

Thanks Perry for the pleasure of listening you on Skeptics Guide. It is strange to me that I feel such a loss for someone that I only knew via podcasts, it just shows how he managed to touch people with his wit and wisdom.

It is a measure of a person to see how many people he touched in his life. We all bring people together and form a web of connections. Through his passion and commitment to truth and reason, Perry touched thousands of lives, and his influence spread from them. He will be missed, but also remembered well.

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Perry. The great loss I feel shrinks to insignificance in comparison with how they must feel. Perry did more good and touched more lives in a positive way than most. Truly a man of accomplishment.
