Rafaelito le llamábamos al padre y Ralph Jr. al hijo. Ambos fueron personas trabajadoras, emprendedoras y que prestaron un gran servicio a nuestra comunidad a través de los años. Sin pedir nada a cambio.
Rafael y Ralph Jr. dieron servicios voluntarios a nuestra comunidad, y casi pasaron desapercibidos, porque nunca
reclamaron credito, ni nada para ellos mismos. Ellos eran de los que ayudaban a levantar y a elegir nuestros lideres, sin ningún interes personal. Tomen nota los lideres fatulos de hoy, que ejercen el "Quitate tú, para ponerme yó". Dense cuenta que se están acabando los buenos, y se quedan los que no son tan buenos.
Que Dios guarde el recuerdo de Rafael y de Ralph Segarra Jr. porque fueron buenos, entre los buenos de verdad.

I hope you remember me.
I coached you and Ralph in PCLL when you were both on the Red Sox.
I worked with Ralph at Arctic Sport Shop and truely loved the young man he had become.
He had always made me proud to call him friend and I will never forget him as I respect everything he was as a man.
Today as I read of his passing,I am so sorry for your loss and I will forever remember this great man who I so admire.
May God comfort you and your family during this time, and I will keep "My Boy" in my heart always.

Very Huge lost for us down on earth and a huge gain in heaven where he is now. Lots of fun at Seaside Park Ralphy. One of the best times was seeing Ralphy last year at Citi Field at a Mets game. Lets Go Mets Ralphy!!My condolences to the Segarra family.

Many years ago I met Ralph at Seaside park playing baseballl with my cousins...after a few years passed I met up with him again and became friends working together at MONTEGO BAY..where Ralpy always looked out for us... who would think we'd meet up yet again at NHPD. In all the years..all the mutual friends never did anyone have a unkind word to say about this wonderful man. All who knew him, knew his love for his family and the kindness he extended to all was genuine and from the heart. All who have known him should consider themselves blessed. As I think about you my friend on this day, I think of the good times. The days we would meet and discuss the job, friends and family. I will truly miss those days. On May 24, the Angles of Heaven opened the Golden Gates to let our friend Raphael Segarra into his everlasting peaceful home. Let us not consider his passing a lost but rather a gain of a Guardian Angel. Let us remember his life as that will help us through this devastating tragedy. He was a man of integrity and it was an honor to have been part of his life. We will miss him dearly. My thought and prayers go out to Ralph's wife, children and family. I will never forget the few years we spent waiting for our boys to finish baseball practice at the JCC with the group of us laughing, telling stories and BSing on the picnic tables in the outfield. The funniest memory was when little Andre wanted to see Ralphie "drop kick" me in the middle of Brooke Street so that Andre could call for back up and have Ralphie arrested. Ralph talked so fondly of his boys and family. He was a true man in every sense of the word. A man's man. A family man. May you rest in peace.
