Dick was a very dear and special friend to me at Coldwell Banker.
There were many times we talked for hours on end. He was a great listener, as well as a fantastic encourager. Dick was a silly jokester and always loved a good laugh.
But more importantly, Dick was an extremely smart, articulate, and professional man who had a great deal of wisdom. He had a real passion for his work and loved coming to the office each day.
Though he had many dreams and plans, obviously, the Lord had others. Yet as the Bible says, "God's ways are higher than our ways" -- even though we may not be able to fully understand them at this time.
While Dick and I shared many private conversations, there were a number of times he talked about his kids -- and in tears shared how much he was proud of them, and deeply loved each one of them. I also had the privilege of praying with Dick several times -- something which meant a lot to me.
A friend like Richard doesn't come around that often, and I was so blessed to have him as a very special friend in my life, a man which I highly respected.
May God bless his wife Pat, his children, grandchildren, and all of those who are so heartbroken by the loss of someone we really loved and cared for.
Much love in Christ, Stephen Bennett
