The Howell Family from Lake Wales, FL (daughters, sisters, mother, etc.) extend our appreciation for the love and kindness shown to us doing our short visit and our bereavement for our "Sweet Papa" who cared for us deeply. Thank you for being his friends and family away from home. We love you and God Bless Us All.

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why Robert left this earth so soon, or why he left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that he died, but that he lived. And that his life gave us memories too wonderful to forget. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

My deepest sympathies goes out to Robert's family. I got to know him while we both worked at CSHHC. He always had a cheerful attitude. If you were had a frown on your face when you saw him, you walked away with a smile. This is what I remember most about Robert.

Sorry to hear of your loss, it sounds like Robert was a man not only of faith but also doing fine works,as seen by his career choice and his desire to be improving the lot of others. Uncle Rob was the most selfless, caring and respectable person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He always had the answers to any question I had since I was a little girl whether it be a medical question or about life in general. Not only did he have the answers but he always gave the best advice and always with a smile. His smile could light up the darkest days for anyone especially for my Auntie Deb. I know that he will always be looking down on her guiding her and Christina along the way. He was put on this earth with a purpose and he fulfilled that purpose by touching everyone’s life that he came in contact with, with kindness. We can all learn from Uncle Rob that no matter what you should stay positive and that will get you through the day. May God bless everyone and help us all through this sad time but remember Uncle Rob is smiling down on us from above and as my son, Dominic, put it “Uncle Rob can now be whatever he wants to be and eat whatever he wants in heaven.” He lived his life to the fullest and loved all.

I saw him at Church- HOmefront- filling up car with gas to go to his health care career(impressive background) and his youngest daughter overlapped my oldest one year at St Gabes. Godspeed Mr Howell

Debra and family,
Rob and I worked together in the early 80's in the SICU at BH. I was a new nurse and he "showed me the ropes". We had so many wonderful shifts together-laughing, learning, caring and giving the best care to our patients. I will never forget him.

I had the pleasure and honor of working with Robert when he was at Darien. He was a skilled clincian, but more importantly, a compasssionate and caring nurse. He was a wonderful person. May god bless your family.

To Mrs. Howell and family, I'm so sad to hear of Robert's passing! He was my former D.O.N. at the CS-HHC and I worked for him in the West Haven Clinic. He taught us so many things in the medical field, memories we shall never forget! One thing he was BIG on to staff and patients " drink plenty of water"! I am so sorry to hear of Robert's passing--I had the pleasure and honor of working with him through the National Kidney Foundation, and he was dedicated to improving the health care and lives of so many people. He was an inspirational person, and he always was one to greet people with a smile and a handshake. What a truly lovely man he was. I will miss him terribly, and my thoughts and sympathies go out to each and every member of his family.

My father was a loving, compassionate, dedicated person who saw the best in everyone. I miss him so much already. I'm so glad he spent time here with all of us on earth to show us what the true meaning of a good man was. I hope I can be half as amazing as him.

Robert was the very best. He touched so many lives, and cared about others more than himself. Rob always had a great attitude and lived life to the fullest. He will be missed greatly by all who loved him.
