Robert Mucherino Obituary
Robert (Mooch) R. Mucherino, age 65 of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 19, 2013 in St. Vincent Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on June 6, 1948 he was the son of Ralph Mucherino and Anne (Palacino) Mucherino. He was a graduate of Central High School and retired driver from Anthony Julian Railroad Construction and a member of Teamsters Local 191 and Circolo Sportivo. Survivors include his loving wife, Elaine (Favale) Mucherino, one son, Anthony Mucherino, one brother, Ralph Mucherino and wife Corinne of Shelton, one sister, Patricia Bleggi and husband Louis of Bridgeport, as well as nephews and nieces. Robert is pre-deceased by his father, Ralph Mucherino. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the outstanding staff in CVU for their excellent care and compassion. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM DIRECTLY in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport with a Mass of the Christian Burial. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to St Vincent's Swim Across The Sound Foundation or Head and Neck Cancer Program Fund at Smilow Cancer Hospital in memory of Robert. Elaine and the Mucherino family, I am extremely saddened by the passing of Bob. We had been friends since 4th grade and I have so many wonderful memories of him. Each time he walked into one of our high school reunions, the room would become brighter with his 1000 watt smile! We will miss him terribly. My heart goes out to Elaine and Bobby's family. I really got to know him on his last few days with us. He was truly a genuine sweet man. I loved spending time with him and making him laugh. I was so deeply saddened to hear of my friend's passing. We knew each other since the 60's and he always was a joy to talk to and be around. I will miss running in to him at "Lou's Food" where he would stop to visit with friends. My deepest sympathy is extended to his family and to all those who knew him.
