What can you say about a man like Rob Nagy--you can say a lot, but to every life he touched there was a different response. To some he was an enigma, keeping his thoughts all to himself while collecting all of yours. To others, he was a saviour, bringing joy and happiness into a life that craved love, and asked so little in return. There were parts of him you couldn't touch, and parts of him--he only revealed to you. I'll miss you Rob. Safe journey. AnnieO'

I was shocked to read about Bob's passing. We were in school together at Andrew Warde and later got stationed together at Comsublant in Norfolk. I will never forget the night we drove back to the base from Connecticut in his old Volkswagen that had no heat and it was the coldest night of the year. We lost touch in later years but I often wondered how he was doing. I am sure he will be missed by many. RIP Bob.

My name is William (Bill) John Nagy. I am a first cousin of Bob Nagy. I have very fond memories of Bob and my childhood growing up in Fairfield Ct. Bobs' parents (Sally and Jules Nagy) were the best Aunt and Uncle a young boy could have. Many a week, during summer vacation, I would spend with Bob at my aunt and uncles' home on Division Ave. (Tunsis Hill) Fairfield, Just up the hill from the Beechmont Dairy where Bob and I could get a hot fudge Sunday for 25 cents. We palled around together all through grammar school and high school (Bob at Andrew Ward, me at Notre Dame Catholic High, Bridgeport). We drifted apart during our college years, (Bob went to Bridgeport University (when there was a BU) I to Unv. Conn. Storrs Ct. Our lives really separated after college. I finished the ROTC program at U. Conn Class of '66' then spent the next 30+ years in uniform, U.S. Army retiring as a Colonel. I was glad to hear that Bob had done his 'Bit' in the Navy during the Vietnam era. If his sister Joan would like to re-connect with me she can reach out either e-mail [[email protected]] or call 520-355-5064. I now live in Tucson, AZ with my wife Leslie, I'm 79 years old. Bob had a year on me.
