Rodney C. Hansen, age 88 of Trumbull, CT, beloved husband of 64 years to Barbara Pistey Hansen, passed away in his home on July 7, 2021.
Rod was born in Bridgeport to the late John and Irene Donnelly Hansen. Rod worked in printing for many years and owned Southern CT Graphics. He was devoted to his family and was proud to say he was the father of seven children. They took many memorable family road trips and camping trips to different places from Canada to Florida. He and Barbara were dedicated UCONN Women's Basketball fans and followed the team to Atlanta, San Antonio, Indiana, and more.
In addition to his wife Barbara, Rod is survived by his children, Karen Treubert and her husband, Michael, of North Port, FL, Debra Syrett and her husband, Stephen, of Seymour, CT, Mark Hansen and his wife, Patricia, of Spring Lake, NJ, Brian Hansen and his wife, Lisa, of Shelton CT, Kevin Hansen and his wife, Rosann, of Ansonia, CT, Lisa Garofolo and her husband, Tony, of Fort Meyers, FL, and Wayne Hansen and his wife, Deborah, of Shelton, CT; his grandchildren, Courtney Treubert, Kerrie Ann Treubert, Daniel Treubert, Keith Syrett, Caitlin Syrett, Gillian Hansen, Brendan Hansen, Kathryn Hansen, Shawn Hansen and his wife, Amber Jean, Penelope Hansen, Etta Hansen, Jason Hansen and his wife, Kait, Robert Hansen, and Matthew Hansen; and his sister-in-law, Phyllis Hansen of Southbury, CT.
Rod was predeceased by his parents, his two brothers, William Hansen and John Hansen, and his sister, Jane Rose.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford, CT.
