Roosevelt Howell Obituary

HOWELL Roosevelt (Bay) Howell, of the 4700 Block of Haygood, Road, Virginia Beach, Va., was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 8, 2007. He was born on November 28, 1948 in Greenville, N.C. He was the son of the late James Curtis Howell and Claudia Spate. Roosevelt is survived by his devoted wife, Jeannette Howell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Magdelene Howell, Hoyt and Lillie May House, Mary and Garland Hall, Barbara and Bobby Staton, Madgalene and Henry Campbell, Elaine and William Taylor and Gloria Underwood; as well a special nephew, Clayton House and his wife, Ruby. He also leaves to cherish his memory six children whom he loved, sons, Roosevelt, Carlton and Chris; daughters, Denise, Shonda and Tonya. He also is survived by six stepchildren, Annette, Carlton and Chris Wooten, Cheryl Jordan Bryan and Felita. Roosevelt also had 17 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. A funeral will be held on Saturday, March 17, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 2153 Kempsville Road, Virginia Beach, with Pastor William Darryl Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Cemetery, Virginia Beach. The family will receive family and friends immediately following at 433 Weeping Cedar Trail in Chesapeake, VA 23323.
