Hey Rosa wasn't your "Celebration of Life Party" musical & healing!Friends & family helped put your event together, festival style with plenty of memories, love, food & fun. You made yourself known by working with the Rain Angels to bring out the sunshine on a day that was suppose to be wet & dreary.

My Aunt Rosa, What a rollercoaster year, I will miss our e-mails where I could write anything to you knowing that I would not be judged and I would be heard. Your encouraging words always in a positive way, helping me to try new things. I’m sorry that I could not be there for you at the end but know that I love you and will truly miss you and your friendship.

Hi Rosalba. I do miss you so... and feel your spirit. It's still really really difficult to listen to your singing........ I listened to the Italian song and then had to put the CD on top of the CD player for a while... I'm sure it will come in time. Nice to see the love in other entries....... it's so true, what Mark says - you are one of the most beautiful people I have ever known.

Bonjourno Mama Rosa.

While I was reading some of the postings in your guest book, I was deeply saddened... then all of a sudden, my front door swung open and a burst of wind flew through our home! It's a chilly night - there's a storm brewing. How is it up in Heaven? Now that you're an angel, can you help out your community of lesbian and gay friends, through your loving spirit, understand that love and giving are unconditional? We know that all will be fine with your Lynn and your 4 children... and we will look after them...as we have been family since PJ was a toddler!

Lynn finally cried as she finally took a few hours for herself and went to the spot in the Casino where you and Lynn would break away from your hectic lives of karoke, 4 children and being such a joy to your community....Where you would sit and laugh... share a drink... a loving smile, and good cheer. Sometimes you would win, sometimes lose, but you would always be together.

Well, when Lynn went to the spot - you know the one, with the 3 hearts? The next day she came over, held me in her arms, and finally cried.

Mmmm, Rosa??? I miss your cooking, SISTAH!!!

Hi Rosa.

I just wanted to let you know that Roy and I got the house...Yay!!! I was so excited about several things yesterday that I went to call you to share them with you...silly me! Aside from the house, I've started to puy my poems and photographs together. Perhaps I can do something with them professionally, just like you always wanted me to do. God I Miss You!!! But I know you're here, I can feel it!

I just want to thank you Lynn for bringing Rosa into my life. Being close to you was joy enough but Rosa was an incredibly beautiful bonus. It's funny that Rosa never found Herself to be an attractive Woman because when I saw Her lying in Her hospital bed the day before She passed I was looking at one of the most beautiful People I have ever known! Lynn and Rosa's family have lost a loving and devoted member, I and many others have lost a very dear friend, The gay community has lost a Sister and music has lost a voice. Thankfully, Heaven has gained an Angel and so have we :-)

Hello Dear Friends & Family,

As I sit at Rosa's computer station, it is fitting that we send out a heart-felt thankyou. We have been extremely blessed to have many dear friends (new & old) taking us under their wings at this sad & difficult time. The love & friendship has been touching and so supportive. I personally have been uplifted by your love, hugs, support & concerns.

Please know Rosa is happy that you wonderful people are looking out for myself & the kids. I know she is watching as I received a hello the other day when a broken music box was playing when I entered the office. So look out for signs & enjoy singing whenever possible. I'm sure we can keep her amused & she'll be all our Angel.

We both like to say. How Rosa & Lynn gave us the support and encouragement in the Karaoke business...and how to share that each person on stage, was in performance to make other's happy. Without Rosa, caring, sharing, and enjoying what is given to us, I love this : it will express Rosa's love.. Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love. Thank You Rosa for sharing your love with us....tiamo!

Rosa motivated a group of friends to go on an Olivia Cruise last April with her and Lynn. She said life was too short not to take the time to enjoy it. We are so thankful for those and many other memories of enjoying life with Rosa. She will be sorely missed.

Where to begin? Rosa was a loving and kind hearted woman who believed there was good in everyone. She never passed judgement on others and seemed to have the right thing to say at any given moment. She truly reached the minds and hearts of many. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

May your children be comforted at this time loss, as well as your partner Lynn.

Bless us with your comfort from above and may we feel you watching over us, you are an angel now.

Much love,

Marisa

Rosa taught me the meaning of Angels. When I was going through my own personal "crisis", it was Rosa who came to me and pinned one of her many angel pins on me. She wished me nothing but the best and constantly told me that everything would be okay. That's how she was. Always strong and thinking of others. I met Rosa many years ago when I started going to the Chowder Pot. She always wanted me to sing alone, and I could see how happy she was when I finally did. I thank Rosa for touching my life in the way that she did. I never would have met so many wonderful people if it were not for Karaoke night at the "Pot". I just wish that I would have been able to give her that angel pin that I had for her. Thanks for the memories, Rosa!

Rosa and Lynn's music has been the spirit of our Women After Hours dances every month for the past four years, and we are very thankful for all the joy they shared with us. As Nicolina Lisa (Rosa's niece) explained, "Rosa made sure she touched everyone she met in a way that made them realize life is too short not to be happy and with the one you love, or those you love." Rosa's journey on earth inspired many with her musical talents, her love of song, her faith in the angels, and her wonderful warm heart! We will carry Rosa in our hearts until we meet again.....we love you, Rosa.
