Ruth Donovan Obituary
Ruth Donovan, a longtime resident of Ansonia, CT, passed away peacefully on Thursday at the age of 95. Born January 14, 1922, Ruth resided in Tarrytown, NY and was an original 'Rosie the Riveter'. Ruth later moved to Ansonia and was employed for many years at Farrel Corp. She was the wife of the late Daniel Donovan, former Captain of the Storm Engine Co. in 1955. Some of Ruth's fondest memories were made at the Derby and Ansonia Senior Centers, where she was an avid Bingo player. She will be remembered for her quick wit, charming smile, and her generosity toward others. Ruth is survived by her niece in Virginia and a host of friends. Her family and friends would like to thank the Nurses and Staff at Bishop Wicke for the tremendous care Ruth received. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday July 26,2017 at 9:15 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 212 Elizabeth St. Derby. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery. Friends and family may gather at the church at 9:00 am. Memorial Contributions may be made to Storm Engine Co., 151 Olivia St. Derby, CT 06418. Her Funeral. Arrangements has been entrusted to the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. Online condolences may be left at www.adzimafh.com

I worked for many years with Ruth at Farrell corp. We shared many laughs and remained casual friends through the years.
She was a cousin to my dear friend Ruth M.Hogan, there was no mention of her parents who I remember well also.
God rest her soul.
