Sarah B. Turechek, age 78, formerly of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late John J. Turechek, passed away at 3030 Watermark on May 17, 2023. Sarah was born in New Haven on August 12, 1944, to the late Rowland E. and Ruth (McMaster) Baird and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Milford High School, class of 1962 and earned and AS from University of Bridgeport. She was a retired Dental Hygienist for Dr. Joseph Cogguillo. Sarah was an avid gardener and was a past president of the Long Hill Garden Club. She was also a past president of the League of Women Voters, Bridgeport area chapter. She enjoyed painting watercolors and was a member of Connecticut Classic Arts. Survivors include her devoted sons, Mark Turechek and his wife Kristen of Stoneham, Massachusetts, and David Turechek and his wife Stacey of Stratford, 3 cherished granddaughters, Jane Emily Turechek, TaylorAnne Elizabeth Turechek and McKenna Baird Turechek, sisters Marcia Graham of East Lyme and Judith Higgs of New Jersey, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 1st from 4-6 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, June 2nd at 10 a.m. meeting directly at Nichols United Methodist Church, 35 Shelton Road, Trumbull.
